Former Masters and Pupils of Slough Secondary School (1912-1936) and Slough Grammar School for Boys (1936-1982) who gave their lives in the course of the two World Wars. The first former student casualty is believed to have been Samuel Augustus Stewart Thomas, known as Stewart Thomas, on 19 July 1916, aged just 17, at the Somme battlefield. His life is commemorated at Lives of the First World War. In more recent years, his short life was movingly commemorated at School Remembrance assemblies by David Rogers.
